Magnificently Preserved Antique Persian Serapi Rug | Circa Early 1900s
Experience an extraordinary piece of living history with this investment-grade Antique Persian Serapi area rug, masterfully hand-woven in the early 1900s. Measuring a grand 13'4" x 9'9", this collector-quality estate piece represents the absolute pinnacle of Northwest Persian tribal art from the turn of the 20th century.
True Serapi rugs from the early 1900s are celebrated globally for their artistic patience and open, majestic spacing. This specific masterwork features a bold, structural geometric central medallion floating elegantly across an expansive, luminous ivory field. The canvas is richly framed by deep indigo blues, soft antique aquas, and the iconic, warm terracotta reds obtained exclusively from aged madder root and natural vegetable elements.
Heirloom Quality Built for Generations
  • Artisanal Wool & Drape: Hand-spun from the highest tier of high-altitude mountain lamb's wool, the pile possesses a magnificent, soft luster and a supple, low-profile weave that gracefully accents fine hardwood floors.
  • A Rare Architectural Fit: Stretching to a commanding 13'4" length while remaining tightly proportioned at 9'9" wide, this grand layout is perfectly dimensioned to anchor a formal 10-to-12-seat dining room or a luxury historic formal living room.
  • Preserved Heritage Value: Unlike modern programmed replicas, a genuine turn-of-the-century Serapi possesses organic "abrash" (subtle, beautiful color variations within the weave) that proves its authentic tribal origin, making it an appreciating asset for your estate.
